BOSTON - Returning to Case Gym after two-game road trip, the Boston University women's basketball team will open up a two-game homestand, first welcoming Loyola on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- Nia Irving recorded her 1,000th career point as BU wrapped up a week on the road with a 72-66 win at Army West Point on Sunday.
- Riley Childs picked up her first double-double of the season with 11 rebounds and 10 points.
- Maren Durant has been a spark plug over the last three games and made her first career start Sunday, grabbing eight rebounds to go with five points.
- Durant has averaged 8.0 rebounds and 7.3 points per game over the last three contests.
- BU has started at least one freshman in all 15 games and has started at least two rookies 13 times.
- Katie Nelson has averaged 16.0 points per game over the last six games and currently leads the team with 13.9 points per game, which ranks fifth in the Patriot League.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND
- Loyola has dropped each of its last three games by one possession and is winless in conference games at 0-4, while its overall record stands at 3-12.
- Emily McAteer and Stephanie Karcz each recorded double-doubles in Loyola's most recent outing at Lafayette, with McAteer recording 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Karcz contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.
- Karcz is one steal away from becoming the 27th player in DI women's basketball history to record 400 career steals.
- Karcz currently leads the NCAA in steals per game (5.8) and leads the Greyhounds in scoring (12.0), rebounding (9.3), and assists (4.1) per game.
- Laryn Edwards has stepped up during conference play, averaging 13.0 points per game against Patriot League opponents and 4.1 points per game during the non-conference portion of the season.
- Isabelle Therien, who led the team in scoring with 14.3 points per game last year and was the 2018 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, has played in just two games this season.
THE SERIES
- BU split last year's season series and current holds the all-time series lead by one game, 7-6.
