Terrier Tuesdays: Men's Tennis Alum Jesse Frieder ('14)

Boston University men's tennis alum Jesse Frieder (Questrom'14, Wheelock'17) was the guest in this week's alumni edition of Terrier Tuesdays

Frieder returns for his seventh season in 2020-21 as an assistant coach with the Terriers after graduating from BU's Questrom School of Business in 2014. At the end of the 2018-19 season, BU reached the PL semifinals for the third straight season and fifth time in six years. David Bogatin, Owen Lu and Pete Siozios all received a spot on the All-Conference list for their efforts.

As a student-athlete, Frieder played singles in the top three slots and also was a key contributor in doubles. During his senior year in 2013-14, he posted a combined eight wins at No. 2 and 3 singles to help BU reach the Patriot League semifinals. Upon graduation, he earned the Aldo "Buff" Donelli Leadership Award from the BU Athletic Hall of Fame committee for demonstrating outstanding leadership both on and off the field.

Outside of coaching, the Providence, Rhode Island, native currently works as director of partnerships for the OneGoal organization after spending five years with Teach for America.
