BOSTON - Riding a season-best five-game win streak, the Boston University women's basketball team will welcome Navy for a rematch on Saturday, Feb. 15. Opening tip is scheduled for 1 p.m. and can be seen live on NESNplus as well as the Patriot League Network.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU will honor its two seniors, Vanessa Edgehill and Nia Irving, prior to opening tip.
- Edgehill, a 3-point specialist, has played in 74 games over her career and has knocked down 29 makes from beyond-the-arc.
- Irving is a two-time All-Patriot League selection and has led the Terriers in scoring and rebounding in each of the last two seasons.
- BU handed Colgate its first loss of the season on Cotterell Court, proving resilient in a 60-58 victory Wednesday night.
- Maggie Pina led all scorers with 18 points, hitting on 6-of-9 attempts from downtown.
- Nia Irving and Katie Nelson followed with 12-point efforts, while Nelson also added seven rebounds and six assists.
- Maren Durant was fouled with 1.5 seconds left, and converted on both attempts from the charity stripe to seal the win.
SCOUTING NAVY
- The Mids have dropped their last four games to stand at 2-10 in conference play and 7-16 overall.
- Navy is just 1-10 on the road compared to a 6-6 mark on its home court.
- Mary Kate Ulasewicz leads the team in scoring (9.5) and assists per game (3.1).
- Morgan Taylor is the top rebounder on the team with 5.3 boards per game, while Sophie Gatzounas is right behind with a 5.0 average.
- Gatzounas leads the Mids in shooting percentage, both from the floor (.459) and 3-point range (.333).
- Jennifer Coleman, a Patriot League All-Rookie Team selection last year, has not played since Dec. 30.
THE SERIES
- BU struggled to find its shot in the first matchup in Annapolis, shooting 33.3 percent from the floor as it fell, 46-41, Jan. 22.
- Two of BU's four wins in the series have come at Case Gym.
