Women's Lacrosse Falls at No. 18 Dartmouth, 16-8

HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-8 decision to Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon in its first road game of the season.

Senior Lexi Lewis tallied three goals and junior Ava Barry added a pair as the Terriers moved to an even 2-2 on the year.

The Big Green scored the first four goals of the game but the visitors rallied to get within one one three occasions in the opening half before the home squad reeled off six straight goals spanning the halves to break open the game.

How It Happened
  • Dartmouth scored the first four goals to go up 4-0 with 19:11 left in the first half.
  • Lauren Kaye and Lewis went for back-to-back unassisted scores before Kailey Conry found Makenzie Irvine, making it a one-goal game with 10:50 on the clock.
  • Maddie MacMaster and Kaye kept it a one-goal game, 6-5, with 4:55 left, but the Big Green pushed out an 8-5 advantage at the break.
  • Once again, Dartmouth reeled off a 4-0 run, this time to start the second half with a 12-5 command.
  • Lewis put the Terriers back on the board with 16:10 remaining before capping her hat trick with 10 minutes to go.
Game Notes
  • Bianca Smith has started all four games in net, while Kennady Smith has also seen action in all four.
  • Along with leading the team in scoring, Lewis won five draw controls, caused a turnover and picked up a ground ball.
  • Conry led the Terriers with three assists and moved into sixth all-time in career points (234), surpassing Lindsay Lewis (232).
