BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Highlighted by bronze-medal performances from
Brett Davidson in the 5000m run, the Boston University men's track & field team competed in day one of the Patriot League Championships on Saturday at Lehigh University's Rauch Field House.

Davidson took third in the 5000m with a time of 14:34.13 to earn the Terriers their first medal of the championship meet. Davidson was just edged Army's Ben Petrella who finished second with a time of 14:32.34 to earn silver.Â

In addition to Davidson's medal winning performance, several Terriers had successful semifinal races and advanced to Sunday's finals.

Senior
Chiebuka Onwuzurike finished second in the 60m dash prelims with a time of 6.86 to easily qualify for Sunday's finals.Â

Paul Luevano finished second in the mile with a time of 4:16.66 and qualified for Sunday's final.Â

Nikolas Smith took seventh in the 400m dash semis with a time of 50.05 and qualified for Sunday's finals. Smith also qualified for the finals in the 200m dash, finishing sixth in the semis with a time of 22.25.Â
