BOSTON – One of the busier weekends on campus will once again provide city of Boston residents with an unprecedented opportunity to cheer on the Terriers — for free. (

Saturday, February 22 & Sunday, February 23, will be City of Boston Weekend at BU, as Beantown residents will receive complimentary admission to all three ticketed Terrier events on campus those days, thanks to BU's Office of Government & Community Affairs and the Department of Athletics. Events will be held at Walter Brown Arena (women's ice hockey), Case Gym (men's basketball), and Agganis Arena (men's ice hockey), all of which are located within a two-minute walk of each other.
City residents simply need to register online at
www.GoTerriers.com/BostonWeekend and tickets will be waiting for them at the ticket will-call location at the venue for the game(s). Requests must be submitted online by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, unless capacity is reached sooner.
"I'm excited that Boston University is once again opening their doors to City of Boston residents to experience BU men's and women's ice hockey and men's basketball games free of charge in celebration of City of Boston Weekend," Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said. "I'm thankful for BU's partnership in welcoming the community to campus and providing Boston's youth and families with the opportunity to cheer on the Terriers."
The festivities begin at 3pm on Saturday with Women's Ice Hockey at Walter Brown Arena, continue with Men's Ice Hockey at Agganis Arena at 7 p.m and conclude on Sunday with Men's Baketball at 12 p.m. at Case Gym (full schedule below). Parking is available at

Agganis Arena and public transportation stops near the venues with the MBTA Green "B" line stops at Babcock Street or Pleasant Street, or the MBTA 57, 47 and CT2 Bus Routes (visit
