BOSTON - Equipped to start its Patriot League schedule, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will play its third straight road contest Saturday at Colgate. Opening draw from Crown Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.

BU added one final non-conference game at La Salle on Monday, where it held a four-goal advantage at the half, but saw its lead slip in the second frame as it fell, 10-9. Ava Barry and Makenzie Irvine each tallied three points on the afternoon with two goals and one assist apiece. Jennifer Barry also added a pair of goals to go with a game-high nine draw controls.

Sunday will feature two of the best on the draw in the Patriot League, as Colgate's Cara O'Reilly leads the league in draw controls per game (7.3) and Jennifer Barry ranks third (7.0). Emily Vervlied leads the Terriers in points (13), assists (5) and ranks second in goals (8). Arielle Hammer has played the full 60 minutes in net in each of the last two games, where she has matched a career high with six saves in each of those contests.

The Terriers own the edge in the all-time series against Colgate, 8-6. Sunday will mark the first matchup in the series since the Raiders topped BU in the 2019 Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals, 14-13.
