BOSTON - Returning to the road to close out its non-conference schedule, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will visit Vermont on Sunday, March 7. Opening draw from Virtue Field is set for 3 p.m.

For the first time in program history, two head coaches who are alumni will matchup against each other. Lauren Morton '08 and Sarah Dalton Graddock '09 were teammates for three seasons, sharing three America East championships.

Five different Terriers found the back of the net multiple times against UMass on Sunday, though the Minutewomen pulled away in the second half for a 23-13 decision. Sisters Ava Barry and Jennifer Barry connected for the first time at the collegiate level, as Jennifer assisted on both of Ava's goals. L

auren Kaye and Emily Vervlied are the lone Terriers who have recorded multi-goal efforts in each of the first two games. Vervlied leads the team in goals (5), points (8) and is tied for the team lead in assists (3) with Claire Gola.

BU opened up its season against two ranked opponents in current No. 5 Stony Brook and No. 22 UMass. The occasion marked the first time since 2014 that the Terriers have played against back-to-back ranked opponents to start the season.

Vermont topped Hartford, 17-7, in its opener on Thursday. BU has dominated the all-time series and leads, 20-3, which includes an 8-0 mark in road games. The Terriers are on an 18-game win streak against the Catamounts, a streak that dates back to 1997. BU and Vermont will matchup for the first time since 2013, which was BU's last season in the America East conference.
