Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Colgate Saturday for Senior Day

BOSTON - With one game left at Nickerson Field, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will welcome Colgate on Saturday, April 24 for a 5 p.m. start. Prior to opening draw, the Terriers will honor their 10-member senior class.

BU will recognize Ava Barry, Jenny Feeney, Nicole Foringer, Ryann Gaffney, Megan Hickey, Makenzie Irvine, Bridget McCarthy, Cassie New, Michelle Seger and Emily Vervlied. The class of 2021 has made two Patriot League Tournament appearances and has aided the Terriers to a 27-23 record over the past four seasons. The senior class has netted 62 of BU's 96 goals (64%) this season, and Barry, McCarthy, Irvine, and Vervlied have started all eight games.

Barry and Vervlied are on the heels of milestone, as Barry is one point away from the 100-career point mark, and Vervlied is four points away from the landmark. 

Jennifer Barry leads the Patriot League in draw controls per game (8.7) and ranks seventh nationally. As a team, Colgate leads the Patriot League in draw controls per game (15.5).

The Raiders have dropped their last three contests to stand at 4-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play. Eliza Soutter, who has multi-goal games in all eight contest, leads Colgate with 30 goals and ranks third in the league in goals per game (3.7). 

Colgate took the earlier matchup this season in Hamilton, 14-9, to trim BU's all-time series lead to 8-7. The Terriers are 2-1 at home vs. the Raiders over the last three encounters.
