The Boston University men's lacrosse team will continue its 2021 season on Saturday when the Terriers travel to Colgate for a Patriot League North Division battle. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.

BU is currently 2-1 in the North Division, having played all three games that will count towards the final divisional standings. Even though Colgate and Army West Point have yet to play each other this season, BU can guarantee a playoff spot with a win this weekend, as it would hold the tiebreaker with either Army or Colgate. The top two teams in each division will qualify for the Patriot League Tournament.

The Terriers improved to 5-3 all-time against Colgate with a 16-11 comeback win over the Raiders on March 20 at Nickerson Field. BU has twice scored 18 goals against the Raiders and has reached double digits against them on five separate occasions.

This past Saturday saw BU suffer an 11-10 setback to Utah in double overtime at Nickerson Field. Freshman Christian Quadrino (3g, 1a) and junior Matt Baugher (3g) each notched a hat trick to pace the the Terrier offense, with Quadrino picking up Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolades for his performance.

Quadrino's final goal of the game late in the fourth quarter that forced OT was assisted by sophomore defender Patrick Morrison. A first-year starter at close defense, Morrison has collected five ground balls in each of his last two games and leads all BU defenders with 23 ground balls, which is second on the squad behind faceoff specialist Sean Christman.

Colgate improved to 2-4 with a 10-9 win at Bucknell this past Saturday. Junior Sean Collins was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday after his 18-save effort against the Bison. He owns a 13.68 goals-against average and a .488 save percentage this season.

Senior Mike Hawkins leads the Raiders in goals (14), assists (10) and points (24), sharing the assist lead with junior Brian Minicus. Sophomore Thomas Colucci is 54-of-95 (.568) at the faceoff X with a team-high 24 ground balls. Colucci also has a team-best four caused turnovers this season.
