BOSTON - Remaining at Nickerson Field for its second straight home game, the Boston University women's soccer team will welcome Harvard on Thursday, Sept. 2 for a 7 p.m. start.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- In the return of Terrier Tailgate in front of a crowd of over 4,500, the Terriers netted the opening goal, but UMass struck twice to steal a 2-1 outcome on Sunday.
- Senior Margaret Berry continued her tear on using her head on set pieces, flicking in her third goal of the season off an assist from senior Jenna Oldham.
- Berry leads the Patriot League in both points (6) and goals (3), while Oldham is the league-leader in assists (4) and assists per game (1.0).
- The Terriers own a 32-11 advantage in corner kicks and have allowed just one opponent corner kick twice this season.
- BU's 32 corner kicks are the most of any team in the league.
SCOUTING HARVARD
- Harvard won its opener vs. Fairfield last Friday, 1-0, behind a goal from Angela Caloia in the 10th minute.
- Hannah Gardner earned the start in net and finished with three saves, and Anna Karpenko came on in the second half to preserve the shutout.
- Harvard, the 2019 Ivy League runner-up, was predicted to finish second again in the league's 2021 preseason poll.
- Chris Hamblin, who has been with the program since 2011, is in his sixth season as head coach of the Crimson.
