TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU tried to rally Friday night from a 2-0 deficit with an 11-2 advantage in shot attempts that saw All-Patriot League honoree Ronaldo Marshall net his first goal of the season but ultimately came up just short.
  • The Terriers are going on the road for the second time this season after dropping a 2-1 decision at Boston College last Monday.
  • Junior Quinn Matulis scored his first goal of the season in that matchup on a successful penalty kick.
  • Sophomore Eitan Rosen is the third Terrier to earn a point so far after he lofted a pass to set up Marshall's header against UMass.
  • Junior Francesco Montali has started every minute at net, earning a .667 save percentage and 2.00 goals against average.
  • Opponents are attempting four more shots per game and own a .439 shots-on-goal percentage compared to BU's .321 percentage.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
  • The 2019 Northeast Conference regular season champion Warriors started off in North Carolina with a 2-1 defeat to Elon and 4-0 loss at Duke.
  • On Friday in its home opener, Merrimack converted on a penalty kick in the fourth minute, but Northeastern struck twice in the second half for the 2-1 victory.
  • Both Mirko Nufi and Stefano Pesenti own a goal, as opponents are averaging seven more shots per game through three contests.
  • Alvaro Rodriguez has started every minute at net, posting a .733 save percentage and 2.67 goals against average.
  • Opponents own a 19-15 advantage in corner kicks.
