November 12, 2022

BOSTON – The Boston University women's lightweight rowing program closed the fall portion of its 2022-23 season with a pair of top-five finishes at the Foot of the Charles on Friday morning on the Charles River.

The event was moved up to Nov. 11 due to impending inclement weather over the weekend.

BU's Varsity 8 "A" boat clocked in at 13:39.6 for the third-fastest time in the field of 16 crews, which featured lightweight and openweight boats. The Terriers finished just 1.6 seconds behind Harvard-Radcliffe's top crew, but 3.5 seconds ahead of Boston College's top openweight entry.

The Terriers' V8 "B" crew finished in fifth with a time of 13:54.8, defeating its "B" counterpart from Harvard-Radcliffe as well as the Boston College and Northeastern "B" openweight boats.

BU will look ahead to the spring slate in the Spring 2023 semester. Please check back with GoTerriers.com for updates on the list of events, which will be released prior to the start of the schedule.
