BOSTON – Seeking to match the program record for Patriot League regular season wins, the Boston University women's basketball program hosts Colgate in its Play4Kay Game this Saturday (Feb. 19). Opening tip is set for 1 p.m.

The Terriers have four games remaining on their schedule in the regular season. Entering the weekend, BU has a one-game lead over Holy Cross for first place in the Patriot League standings, and has a 1.5-game edge over Lehigh and American, who are tied for third.

Colgate sits one game behind Navy for eighth place in the table, and two games behind Lafayette, who sits in seventh. With four games left on its slate, the Raiders can finish as high as seventh and as low as 10th.

As part of its Play4Kay celebration, which benefits the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, both teams will hold up "I Play 4…" signs during the national anthem.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU took sole possession of first place in the Patriot League with a 74-56 triumph over Holy Cross on Wednesday evening at Case Gym.
  • After falling behind by 12 late in the first quarter, the Terriers executed an extended 25-7 run in the second quarter to take the lead, and forced the Crusaders to shoot 25 percent in the final three quarters.
  • Senior Chiara Tibbitt set career-highs with 16 points, seven buckets, three assists, and two threes as part of four in double figures.
  • Freshman Alex Giannaros also dropped 16 points, junior Maren Durant racked up 14 points and 12 rebounds, and classmate Sydney Johnson added 11 points.
  • BU ranks 37th in the nation with its .352 three-point percentage. Four different Terriers have hit 28 or more three-pointers this season, which last happened in 2013-14.
  • Junior Maggie Pina has 130 career three-pointers, and is 14 away from entering the top 10 all-time in program history.
  • The Terriers are also 37th in Division I with 109 blocked shots this season.
  • Durant, who recently passed Whitney Turner and Marisa Moseley to vault into fifth place in the BU annals with 118 career blocks, is 38th with 45 rejections. That's two shy of her season-best from 2019-20, and one from entering the top 10 in single-season history.
  • Dating back to 2018-19, BU is 44-18 against Patriot League opponents.
  • With a win, BU would improve to 10-3 at Case Gym, which would mark the second time since joining the Patriot League the Terriers reached double-digit victories at home.
  • The Terriers are averaging 66.5 points per game in Case Gym. In their nine wins, their scoring margin is +16.3.
  • BU has won 12 conference games as a Patriot League member, doing so in 2019-20.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
  • Colgate enters the matchup ninth in the Patriot League with a 3-11 record, and is 5-20 overall.
  • The Raiders have alternated wins and losses in their last four contests, picking up victories against American and Loyola Maryland, and falling to Lehigh and, most recently, Army.
  • Colgate is fifth in the league in shooting percentage during league action at .385, but have allowed opponents to shoot a league-best .426 from the field. The Raiders also shoot .786 from the charity stripe, tops among PL teams.
  • Taylor Golembiewski is the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week, having scored in double figures in four of her last six matchups and leading Colgate with 10.2 points per game with 36 steals.
  • Alexa Brodie averages 9.2 points and three assists per contest.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday marks the 24th all-time meeting between BU and Colgate.
  • The Terriers have won four in a row, and are 16-8 in the series.
  • In the first contest on Jan. 29, BU was victorious, 59-45. Weimar notched a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Johnson and Pina scored 16 and 11 points, respectively. Durant posted 14 boards.
  • BU's 59 points is the lowest in a victory this year.
  • Both teams will play in Boston for the first time in five meetings. Colgate has won the last two contests at Case Gym, but the Terriers are 7-3 at home vs. the Raiders.
