BOSTON – Beginning a stretch of four games in 11 days, the Boston University women's lacrosse team travels down the Massachusetts Turnpike to visit Holy Cross in a midweek matchup on Wednesday (Mar. 30). Opening draw is slated for 6 p.m.

Six of BU's final eight contests, including the next three, will take place in the Bay State, beginning with Wednesday's tilt. The Terriers last played on a weekday on Mar. 2, and have averaged 10 goals per game on weekdays in 2022.

After four consecutive games on the road, Holy Cross plays three of its next four matchups at home. The Crusaders' lone win in four games in Worcester this season was a 13-6 win over UMass Lowell on Feb. 18.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers dropped a 23-5 contest to No. 7 Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Mar. 26).
  • BU got two goals from junior Lauren Kaye, while sophomores Kaelin Isaacson and Tobey Tick as well as freshman Matty Spaeth also scored.
  • Junior Jennifer Barry matched the single-season program record in draw controls with six in the game, giving her 91 on the season.
  • Barry also had three ground balls, while Claire Gola caused two turnovers.
  • Becoming the second Terrier in program history to control at least 90 draws in a single season, Barry needs one more to take sole possession of the program's single-season record, currently held by Jill Horka (91 in 2016).
  • Barry is also eight draw controls away from her current head coach, Lauren Morton, for fourth place all-time. The junior currently sits with 174.
  • By potting her lone attempt against the Greyhounds, Kaye boosted her free position percentage to .750, which is seventh in the nation.
  • Kaye is also the lone Terrier to record a point in every game she's appeared in this season.
  • Spaeth has eight goals in Patriot League play, which is the third-highest amount by a PL student-athlete entering the week.
  • The junior class has accounted for almost 37 percent of the team's goals through the first nine games of the season, leading the classes with 27.
  • The sophomore class has the most Terriers to score a goal with five.
  • During the month of March, BU is 75-for-82 (.914) on clear attempts. The Terriers have failed one clear in three of those five contests.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
  • Holy Cross enters the game with a 3-6record, having fallen to Army West Point (21-10) and American (19-7) on the road in its two PL contests.
  • The Crusaders are just 1-3 at home this year, but haven't played in Worcester since Mar. 5.
  • As a team, Holy Cross is 12th in the nation with just 11.44 fouls per game.
  • Jolie Creo leads the Crusaders and the Patriot League with 35 goals (19th in Division I), 3.89 goals per game (eighth), 48 points (16th), 5.33 points per game (12th), and 6.44 shots on goal/game (sixth).
  • Four other Crusaders have notched double digits in points: Jordyn Arakelian (team-high 15 assists), Isabela Miller (13 goals, second on team), Jenna Giardina (11 goals), and Sara McKenna (10 points).
