The Boston University track and field teams got in their final competitions before the NCAA Preliminary meet, sending athletes to the ECAC/IC4A Championships at William & Mary, the NEICAA New England Championships at Bryant and the Princeton Elite Meet over the weekend.

In Princeton, junior Foster Malleck moved up to second on BU's all-time list in the 1,500-meter run, turning in a time of 3:42.05 to finish fourth. Senior Andrea Claeson placed third on the women's side, crossing the line at 4:20.07.

Two throwers moved up to third on BU's top-10 lists in the shot put at the ECAC/IC4A Championships as freshman Gabe Hickman recorded a toss of 17.38 meters to place second and graduate student Bridget Bishop upped her personal record to 14.28 meters.

At New Englands, senior Declan Ritzenthaler became just the third Terrier to clear 5 meters in the pole vault and won the event. Junior Noelani Phillips jumped up to fifth on BU's top-10 list in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.81 seconds, which was good for second.

Senior Kasim Cisse was second in the high jump, matching his personal record of 2.08 meters, while freshman Leon Christian was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.65.

Sophomore Juliana Nakouzi entered the program's top-10 list for the shot put, as her mark of 13.19 meters ranks eighth among Terriers. 

The qualifiers for the NCAA Preliminary meets will be announced on Thursday (May 19).
