BOSTON – Concluding a two-game road trip, the Boston University men's soccer team will open its 10th season in the Patriot League at Colgate on Friday night with the ESPN+ broadcast set for 7 p.m.

Both teams are looking to bounce back from their first losses of the season. The Terriers dropped a 2-1 decision at UMass last weekend, while the Raiders suffered a 4-1 home loss to Penn.

TERRIER TIDBITS

With the loss to the Minutemen, BU moved to 1-1-1 on the road this season with earlier 1-1 draw at Albany and 1-0 win at then-No. 9 New Hampshire.
Senior Colin Innes has scored BU's lone goal each of the last two games, including 1-0 home win vs. Merrimack, to grab a team-high four points.
Junior Andrew Rent owns a team-high three assists and is tied with senior Quinn Matulis (1g,1a) at three points.
In total, six Terriers have recorded at least one point apiece so far.
Senior Francesco Montali has played every second at net, posting a .818 save percentage and 0.80 goals against average.
Opponents are averaging 4.2 more shots per game with a 38-13 advantage in corner kicks.

SCOUTING COLGATE

The Raiders are 3-1-1 this season after going winless last season at 0-18-0.
They opened with a 3-2 upset victory at then-No. 16 Providence before posting a 1-1 draw to Marist. They followed with wins at Binghamton (1-0) and Fairfield (2-0).
Max Edelstein, Aidan Davock and Timmy Donovan all have two goals apiece, while Alejandro Coury has two assists.
Both Andrew Cooke and Oliver Townend have appeared in three games apiece with Townend earning two shutouts along with a .750 save percentage and 1.20 goals against average.
Opponents are averaging 1.8 more shots (10.6-8.8) and are ahead in corner kicks, 28-20.

SERIES HISTORY

BU is 9-3-2 all-time in a series that dates back to 1979.
The Terriers have won the last three meetings by a combined score of 7-1 after losing the previous three games by an identical score of 7-1.
Last season at Nickerson Field, junior Eitan Rosen scored a pair of goals in the first 24 minutes, as the Terriers finished with a 17-4 advantage in shot attempts.
