BOSTON – Set for its Fifty Forward contest that will air regionally on NESN, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes Harvard to Case Gym on Saturday (Dec. 9). Opening tip is slated for 7 p.m.
BU (5-3) plays in its sixth home matchup this year. Dating back to the 2019-20 campaign, the Terriers have won 46 of their last 57 games at The Roof.
Harvard (5-4) is in the midst of a five-game road swing to conclude non-conference play. To date, the Crimson are 2-3 away from Lavietes Pavilion.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers sustained a 62-47 loss to Saint Joseph's on Tuesday (Dec. 5) at home.
- The Hawks Took an 11-10 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter and never relinquished the edge from there, as the Terriers were limited to season-lows in scoring and three-point percentage (.091).
- Senior Caitlin Weimar recorded 16 points, making eight of her nine final shots.
- Junior Alex Giannaros made five of her 11 shots from the field for 13 points, adding a season-high five assists.
- Weimar needs one more point to reach 1,000 in her collegiate career, and one more block to move into ninth place on BU's all-time blocks list.
- Giannaros leads the team with seven games registering 10 or more points. She has made five shots from the field in three of her last four games.
- In her last five contests, senior Kelsi Mingo is shooting 8-for-15 from beyond the arc. She leads the Terriers with a .450 three-point percentage (minimum 10 attempts).
- Senior Sophie Beneventine paces BU with 24 assists, and is shooting over 52 percent on the year.
- During Head Coach Melissa Graves' tenure, the Terriers have lost three games in a row just once (Nov. 21 – Dec. 1, 2021).
- BU vies for its sixth non-conference victory, which last occurred during the 2012-13 season.
SCOUTING HARVARD
- Entering the weekend, the Crimson are 5-4 on the year, most recently dropping a 79-61 road tilt at Maine on Wednesday (Dec. 6).
- Harvard's last win came on Nov. 25 at SMU, an 80-67 triumph.
- The Crimson will face two common opponents with BU later in the year: UMass Lowell (Dec. 22) and Yale (Jan. 6 and 27).
- Harmoni Turner leads Harvard in scoring with 20.6 points per game, but did not appear in the team's previous game.
- Lola Mullaney (15.3 points per game) and Elena Rodriguez (10.9) also average double figures.
- Harvard was selected to finish third in the Ivy League preseason poll after going 20-12 last year, reaching the Ivy League championship game and advancing to the WNIT Great 8 following wins over Towson, UMass, and Rhode Island.
SERIES HISTORY
- Saturday marks the 38th all-time meeting between BU and Harvard in a series that dates back to 1976.
- The Crimson sport a 22-15 advantage in the rivalry, having won seven in a row.
- BU's last win came on Nov. 17, 2014.
- At home, the Terriers are 9-11. BU's last five wins in the matchup have taken place at home.
- Last season, the Crimson defeated the Terriers at Case Gym, 73-58. Turner and Rodriguez posted 28 and 21 points, respectively. Maren Durant notched 16 points, with Giannaros scoring 13 points off the bench.
