BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team (1-0, 0-0 PL) continues its season with home contest against Stonehill (0-0, 0-0 NEC) on Wednesday (Feb. 15) at 4 p.m. The game is BU's last home contest before late March. 
 
As a part of the department's City of Boston Weekend promotion, residents of Boston and surrounding neighborhoods can receive comp admission to Wednesday's game, as well as other home events from Feb. 15 through Feb. 18. For details, click here.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU is fresh off a 17-7 win in the season opener against Merrimack at home.
  • In the win, senior Jen Barry led BU in multiple categories including goals with six.
  • Barry also leads the Terriers in points with eight and draw controls with 11.
  • Grad student Maddie MacMaster, senior Lauren Kaye, junior Tobey Tick and freshman Jayne Feeney all scored two goals in Saturday's showdown.
  • BU netted two free position goals thanks to Feeney and MacMaster.
  • Senior Claire Gola leads BU in ground balls with five and caused turnovers with two.
  • Junior Ellen Monahan has the most caused turnovers with three and scooped up four ground balls.
  • Sophomore Libby Carbo had a career day in the game against Merrimack, scoring a highlight-reel goal and picking up an assist. Both were the first of her collegiate career. 
  • Junior Reilly Agres started and played the full 60 minutes in net making seven saves and recording two ground balls.
  • Agres was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week and Barry was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week. Kaye received an honorable mention for the Attacker of the Week.
 
SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS
  • Wednesday's game is Stonehill's first of the season. 
  • In 2022, the Skyhawks went 18-3 overall including a 7-1 record on the road.
  • Stonehill returns its top scorer, Emma Sullivan, who scored 74 goals in 2022. 
  • Sullivan was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List ahead of the 2023 season.
  • Sullivan, Lydia Rudden and Victoria Butler were all Division II All-Americans and return to the field this season.
  • Also returning are five of the Skyhawks' top six scorers, most of their defensive unit and their starting goalie.
  • Stonehill is the reigning NE10 regular season and tournament champion.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • This will be the first meeting between BU and Stonehill.
  • The Skyhawks moved into Division I this season.
