TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU enters the postseason on a four-game win streak thanks to a weekend sweep of Providence in the final two fixtures of the regular season.
- The Terriers clinched their 11th Hockey East regular-season title with a 6-4 home win over the Friars last Friday before junior Drew Commesso stopped all 39 shots he faced in a 2-0 triumph in Providence the next night.
- That was Commesso's second shutout of the year and his second road shutout in as many games, as he made 23 saves in a 3-0 win at Vermont on Feb. 24.
- Senior Sam Stevens was named Hockey East Player of the Week thanks to a pair of two-point games against Providence; he scored a goal on Saturday and assisted on three other goals during the weekend.
- Freshman Lane Hutson, a unanimous Hockey East First Team All-Star, was the Hockey East Rookie of the Week after he scored two goals in Friday's win and assisted on both goals at Providence.
- Hutson is the first defenseman in Hockey East history to lead the league in conference scoring, totaling 34 points (9g, 25a) in 33 league games.
- Two other Terriers - seniors Domenick Fensore and Matt Brown - were also tabbed as Hockey East First Team All-Stars while senior Wilmer Skoog was chosen as a Third Team All-Star.
- Brown (15g, 28a) and Hutson (12g, 31a) are tied for the league lead with 43 points apiece and are tied for seventh nationally in points per game (1.30).
- No other NCAA defenseman has more points (43) and assists (31) than Hutson.
- The Terriers boast the fifth-best scoring offense in the NCAA, averaging 3.91 goals per game.

- The Terriers are 22-5-3 in the past 28 meetings with UVM, including a two-game sweep of the Catamounts in Vermont on Feb. 24-25.
- BU bested UVM, 5-3, on the 24th before securing a 3-0 shutout the next night.
- From 1974-84, the teams shared time in the ECAC, with BU posting a 13-4-1 record against the Catamounts during the span.

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
- Vermont advanced to the quarterfinals thanks to a 4-2 win in its Opening Round game at sixth-seeded Maine.
- The Catamounts scored the final three goals of the game, as sophomore Andrei Buyalsky evened the score at 2-2 at the 7:20 mark of the third before classmate Isak Walther's power-play goal with 6:05 remaining in regulation gave UVM the lead for good.
- Walther leads Vermont in goals (9) and points (19) while Buyalsky is second in points with 17 thanks to five goals and a team-best 17 assists.
- Junior goaltender Gabe Carriere, who started the Terriers' 5-3 win in Burlington, made 28 saves against Maine to improve to 9-12-3.
