BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team (5-2, 0-1 PL) is set to face Colgate (1-5, 0-0 PL) on the road on Saturday (March 18) to continue conference play. Opening draw against the Raiders is set for 1 p.m.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU comes off a close 17-15 loss at then-No. 14 Army West Point. In the loss, eight separate Terriers scored.
  • Senior Claire Gola continues to lead BU in goals with 16 to her name, four of which came against Army.
  • Junior Kendall Sims scored her first goal of the season at Army.
  • Sophomore Matty Spaeth broke into double digit goal territory on the season after she scored four goals at Army. Spaeth has scored at least a hat trick in three separate games.
  • Spaeth received an honorable mention from the Patriot League for Attacker of the Week.
  • Spaeth also has the longest active points streak for the Terriers dating back to the Stonehill game.
  • Senior netminder Arielle Hammer made her first start at Army and made eight saves for a career-best performance in the category.
  • On the draw control, senior Jennifer Barry registered 11 at Army to bring her career total to 301.
  • Barry also continues to lead BU in assists with 11 and points with 24.
  • As a whole, BU has scored 105 goals across its seven games.
  • Of the Terriers' 114 ground balls, Gola has scooped up 16 of them.
  • BU has caused 56 turnovers.
 
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
  • Colgate is currently 1-5 and has not faced a Patriot League opponent yet this season.
  • The Raiders' sole win came against Niagara in a 12-8 decision.
  • Most recently, Colgate dropped an 18-5 loss at No. 6 Florida.
  • Colgate is 0-4 on the road this season.
  • The 10 freshmen and 18 returners on the Colgate roster are led by head coach Kathy Taylor who is in her fourth season.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • This will be the 19th meeting between BU and Colgate.
  • Since the first meeting in 1982, the overall record between the Terriers and Raiders is currently tied 9-9. Since joining the Patriot League, Colgate leads the series 5-4.
  • In 2022, Colgate topped BU in a 13-7 decision.
  • On the road, BU is 2-4 in the series including dropping the last regular season contest at Colgate 14-9.
