BOSTON – After six games on the road, the Boston University women's lacrosse team (6-2, 1-1 PL) returns home to host No. 9 Loyola Maryland (6-2, 1-1 PL) on Saturday (March 25) at Nickerson Field. Opening draw against the Greyhounds is set for 12 p.m.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU is fresh off a 11-8 win at Colgate for its first Patriot League win of the season.
  • The Terriers earned two Patriot League weekly awards in junior Reilly Agres, the goalkeeper of the week, and Senior Claire Gola, the midfielder of the week.
  • Gola leads the Terriers with 21 goals and is followed by senior Jennifer Barry and sophomore Matty Spaeth who each have 15.
  • Barry continues to lead BU in assists with 15 after picking up four at Colgate.
  • Notably, Barry is one of seven active Division I players to have over 300 career draw controls. She has 305 total, 66 of which she registered this season.
  • BU has scored on the free position 19 times in eight games.
  • Gola leads BU in caused turnovers with 16 and ground balls with 18. 
  • Three Terriers set career ground ball records at Colgate: freshman Siri Hodgins (three) and sophomores Kaylee Munster (two) and Matty Spaeth (four). 
  • Freshman Jayne Feeney recorded two assists for the second time this season at Colgate. 
  • Grad student Maddie MacMaster also tied her career-best two assists in a single game at Colgate.
  • BU had 22 clears at Colgate for a season best.
 
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
  • No. 9 Loyola is 6-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play on the season, most recently defeating Lehigh 15-6.
  • The Greyhounds' two losses came against ranked opponents in then-No. 10 Florida (14-11) and then-No. 2 Syracuse (9-7).
  • Loyola is 2-1 on the road with wins at Towson and Penn State.
  • The Greyhounds started the season on a five-game win streak.
  • The seven freshmen and 26 upperclassmen on the Loyola roster are led by head coach Jen Adams who is in her 15th season.

  • This is the 16th meeting between BU and Loyola.
  • Since the first meeting in 2003, Loyola leads the series 13-2.
  • In 2022, Loyola topped BU in a 23-5 decision.
