PHILADELPHIA – Junior Matthew Mason and freshman Parker Schneider of the Boston University men's track & field team turned in strong performances at the Penn Relays on Thursday.
 
Mason competed in the 3,000m Steeplechase and turned in a time of 9:02.50. His performance marks the tenth-fastest time in BU history and is a season-best performance. The London, Ont., native placed sixth in his heat and 15th overall in a field of 29.
 
Schneider raced in the 1,500m, crossing the finish line in 3:46.26. The freshman placed 16th out of 42 runners.
 
The Terriers will prep for the Skyhawk Invite on Friday and Saturday (April 28-29) before heading to the Patriot League Outdoor Championships at Lehigh which begin May 5.
