BOSTON – Gearing up for its 11th season as a member of the Patriot League, the Boston University women's soccer program will play 18 games as part of its 2023 schedule, the program announced on Monday afternoon.
Under second-year Head Coach
Casey Brown, BU will play nine non-conference games and a full nine-game, Patriot League slate. The Terriers will host 11 games at Nickerson Field in the fall semester, and face programs from seven different conferences: the Patriot League, America East, Big East, A-10, Big Ten, CAA, and the Ivy League.
The Terriers come off a 2022 campaign that featured an 11-8-1 record, tying for second place in the Patriot League with 18 points on a 6-3 league mark. BU advanced to the Patriot League semifinals as the No. 3 seed, and boasted six All-Patriot League honorees.
Four of those recipients are back for 2023 as part of 20 returning letterwinners. The Terriers also welcome seven newcomers to the fold.
Kayla Ross,
Grace Ferrara,
Lily Matthews, and
Abigail McNulty will serve as team captains.

BU's first two road league matchups take place at Lehigh on Sunday (Sept. 24) and Navy a week later (Oct. 1).
Four of the Terriers' next five games kick off at home. Lafayette arrives on Saturday (Oct. 7), then Holy Cross for a Turnpike Trophy battle on Wednesday (Oct. 11).
In a rematch of last year's Patriot League semifinal tilt, BU treks to Bucknell on Saturday (Oct. 14) for its penultimate road contest of the regular season.
The Terriers' final homestand ignites on Tuesday (Oct. 17) with a non-conference game against Yale. Patriot League play returns with the regular season home finale vs. American on Saturday (Oct. 21). On Wednesday (Oct. 25), BU travels to Army West Point for the final game of the regular season.
