BOSTON. - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team returned to competition on Saturday after the semester break and recorded a 159-128 home victory over MIT at the FitRec Competition Pool.
Graduate student
Kyle Falkstrom earned three wins on the day while sophomore
Tony Ponomarev added a pair of victories and freshman
Zein Mahana swept the diving events.
Falkstrom took both breaststroke events, swimming the 100-yard in 54.37 and the 200-yard in 1:59.60 before adding another win in the 200-yard individual medley (1:51.06). Ponomarev won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 49.85 and then captured the 200-yard backstroke in 1:49.28.
Mahana posted a winning score of 302.78 in the 3-meter dive before posting a 284.70 to add a win in the 1-meter.

With the win, the Terriers improve to 3-2 on the season. They will return to action next Saturday (Jan. 20) when they visit Colgate for a Patriot League dual.
