Corinne Schroeder (Sargent'21, CAS '21) - Women's Ice Hockey

Holds BU career records in both goals-against average (1.98) and save percentage (.929) and will be inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame next week at TD Garden
Currently plays for New York in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and posted a shutout in the league's inaugural game on New Year's Day

Q&A With Corinne

Why did you choose BU? "I chose BU because it offered excellent opportunities in both athletics and academics. I earned two bachelor's degrees during my time at BU and I am so grateful to all of the academic and athletic staff that helped me achieve my goals and excel in both hockey and school."
What did you enjoy most about your BU experience? "I enjoyed many things about my BU experience including my classes, living in Boston, and playing hockey. What I enjoyed most, however, was building lifelong friendships with my teammates, other athletes, and students on campus."
How did your time at BU prepare you to get to where you are today? "BU helped me achieve my dream job as a professional hockey player. The lessons I learned in discipline, time management, hard work and resilience through my career at BU helped me to reach that next level."
Why is it meaningful for you to be involved with the University, Athletics, and your team as an alumnus? "BU has given me so much over the years, I believe it is important to give back and continue to support the team. I want to see others have an even better experience than I did and realize their potential as students, athletes, and leaders."
