The No. 3 Boston University men's ice hockey team will head to Matthews Arena Tuesday night to face Northeastern on ESPNU and TSN. Puck drop is scheduled for for 6:30 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BUÂ will look to rebound after a weekend sweep at the hands of current No. 1 Boston College, including a 4-3 loss on Saturday at Agganis Arena.
- Junior Jack Hughes lit the lamp for BU on Friday while freshman Shane Lachance, graduate student Sam Stevens and freshman Macklin Celebrini all scored on Saturday.
- Senior Dylan Peterson and sophomore Ryan Greene each finished the weekend with two assists apiece while freshman Aiden Celebrini, sophomores Lane and Quinn Hutson, and senior Luke Tuch also added one assist apiece.
- Celebrini and Lane Hutson have been nominated for the 2024 Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the top player in Division I men's college hockey.
- Celebrini ranks fourth overall and first among NCAA rookies with 1.57 points per game.
- He has tallied 33 points (17g, 16a) in 21 games, which is third in Hockey East, third among national rookies and tied for eighth overall in the country.
- Hutson is second among all NCAA defensemen with 10 goals and is tied for fourth among NCAA defensemen (first in HE) with 29 points.
- He has averaged an incredible 1.28 points per game in his career, which is far and away best in college hockey.
- The Terriers' streak of 25 straight successful penalty kills came to an end on Saturday night; it finished as the third longest streak of successful PKs by any team this season.
- BU has now gone 40-for-43 (93.0%) on the penalty kill since Nov. 22, which ranks first in the nation during that span.
SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the 250th meeting between the Terriers and Huskies since they first met during the 1930-31 season.Â
- The only team BU has played more games against is Boston College (293).
- BU holds a 170-67-12 (.707) advantage over the Huskies, including an 81-30-7 record at Agganis and an 81-30-7 (.716) mark at Matthews Arena.
- In the 15 meetings that have taken place since the start of the 2018-19 season, eight have gone to overtime.
- BU has won the last two OT tilts by a score of 4-3 - a win at Matthews Arena on Nov. 19, 2022, and a triumph at Agganis earlier this month.
- Sophomore Jeremy Wilmer was the hero that January night, converting a feed from classmate Ryan Greene just 1:18 into overtime.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- Northeastern has won three of its last four games, including a weekend sweep of Merrimack on Jan. 26-27.
- The Huskies defeated the Warriors, 5-3, at home on Friday before securing a 4-1 road win on Saturday.
- Sophomore Jack Williams, the reigning Hockey East Player of the Week, leads the Huskies in both assists (15) and points (27).
- He is second on the team in goals with 12, one behind team leader Alex Campbell.
- Campbell, a senior who scored at BU earlier this month, is second on the squad with 24 points.
- Junior Justin Hryckowian, who also lit the lamp at Agganis on Jan. 9, has recorded 10 points over his last 10 games, including a goal and an assist this past weekend.Â
- Freshman goaltender Cameron Whitehead, who made 36 saves on Jan. 9, has started 22 of the Huskies' 23 games this season.
- He is 9-10-2 with a .910 save percentage and a 2.69 goals-against average.
