BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team travels out of the city to face No. 3 Boston College on Wednesday. Opening draw at Fish Field House against the Eagles is set for 4 p.m. Wednesday's game will be closed to the public.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • In its most recent outing, BU defeated Stonehill 16-15.
  • Sophomore Elle Stevenson continues to lead the Terriers in goals with 17 and points with 21 after she netted three on the road at Stonehill.
  • Junior Hannah Tillier continued her hat trick streak with three goals against the Skyhawks, including the game-winner with 1.1 seconds left in the game.
  • Senior Ellen Monahan received an honorable mention for defender of the week after she recorded her second career assist in the game at Stonehill.
  • Freshman Tessa Geddes is leading BU on the draw, controlling 27 this season.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Natalie Aiosa has three games with 10 saves to her name including the last two against Iona and Stonehill.
  • Stevenson and senior Tobey Tick are tied in leading BU in assists with four each.
  • Junior Abby Cotraro, Tillier and Stevenson are all on a four-game points streak while sophomore Leah Hodgins and freshman Reilly Walsh are on a three-game points streak.
  • Hodgins has scored at least one goal in each of the past three games and netted a hat trick against the Skyhawks.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
  • No. 3 Boston College is 6-1, most recently defeating ACC foe Virginia Tech 20-7.
  • Then-No. 1 BC suffered its first loss to then-No. 3 Northwestern in a 14-11 decision. The Eagles were ranked No. 1 the previous two weeks before the loss.
  • The Eagles' current ranking is the lowest of the season as they were No. 2 from preseason (Jan. 29) until week three (Feb. 19).
  • BC is 2-0 in ACC play thanks to a 19-3 win over Pitt.
  • Seven freshmen and 28 upperclassmen make up the Boston College roster.
  • Head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein is in her 12th season at the helm.
 
THE SERIES
  • This will be the 30th meeting between the local rivals.
  • Then-No. 7 BC took the 19-8 win in 2023 at BU.
  • BU last defeated BC in 2009 on the road, 13-6.
  • The Terriers are 2-8 in away contests against the Eagles and 11-17-1 overall.
