BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team is prepped for its second ranked contest of the week as it heads to No. 25 Brown for a Saturday afternoon tilt. Opening draw at Stevenson-Pincince Field against the Bears is set 1 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU faced its first ranked opponent of the season in No. 3 Boston College and fell 23-5.
- In the loss, seniors Cassie Reinertson and Ellen Monahan scored their first goals of the season and their first since 2020.
- Juniors Hannah Tillier and Abby Cotraro have earned a point in every game thus far as each logged an assist against BC.
- Freshman Reilly Walsh and juniors Avery Jones and Raegan Bailey were the only other Terriers to score against the ranked Eagles.
- Between the posts, freshman Natalie Aiosa set a career high in saves against BC with 11.
- Freshman Tessa Geddes has registered 29 draw controls this season.
- Monahan leads BU in ground balls with 15 and caused turnovers with eight.
- Sophomore Elle Stevenson continues to lead BU in goals with 17 and points with 21.
- BU has been able to hold its opponents to a clear percentage of 0.869.
- Of BU's 74 goals this season, 17 have come on the free position.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- No. 25 Brown is 4-1 overall and 0-1 in Ivy League play.
- Brown is fresh off a 20-9 win over Bryant.
- The Bears broke into the Top 25 in week two after upsetting then-No.22 UMass in their season opener. It was Brown's first ranked win since 2020.
- Brown is 2-0 at home this season.
- The Bears are 1-1 against teams receiving votes - UAlbany (W, 14-10) and Harvard (L, 18-17).
