CANTON, Mass. - The Boston University women's golf team turned in the third-lowest score in the final round of the Red Bandanna Invitational on Tuesday to move up two spots and finish third in the 15-team field at Blue Hill Country Club.
The Terriers posted a 306 to finish at plus-66, one shot behind second-place Quinnipiac and one shot ahead of third-place Merrimack. Tournament host Boston College won the team title at plus-19.
Senior
Christy Chen finished the three-round tournament at plus-8 (75-74-75--225) to secure a fourth-place finish.
Sophomore
Amy Han had BU's best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 1-over 73 and finished tied for 16th at plus-17 (80-80-73--233) along with senior
Victoria Takai (77-79-77--233) to give BU three golfers in the top 20. Han was one of the biggest movers on the final day, jumping 18 spots.
Junior
Annika Manjunath carded an 80 on Tuesday for BU's fourth score and finished tied for 40th at plus-25 (77-84-80--241).Â
Senior
Meiqi Gao, who was playing as an individual, was a shot behind Manjunath at plus-26 (80-78-84--242) to end up in a tie for 44th.
Sophomore
Madison Takai finished the tournament tied for 51st at plus-30 (82-83-81--246) while classmate
Hibiki Adachi ended up in a tie for 54th as an individual with a total of 247 (87-81-79, +31).
BU will return to action this weekend at the Princeton Invitational on Sept. 28-29.Â
