BOSTON – A four-game road swing lasting a span of 18 days concludes on Wednesday (Sept. 25) for the Boston University women's soccer program as it visits Colgate. Opening kick is set for 6 p.m.
 
BU (0-6-3, 0-0-1 PL) has scored over 62 percent of its goals in road games this year, and has three in its previous two contests. The Terriers are 0-2-2 away from home in 2024.
 
Colgate (2-7-1, 0-1-0 PL) hosts its third home match in its previous four games on Wednesday. The Raiders are 1-2-1 in Hamilton, N.Y. this year.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS

• The Terriers ignited Patriot League play with a 1-1 draw at Loyola Maryland last Saturday (Sept. 21).
• Junior Margy Porta scored in the 16th minute on an unassisted header over the goalkeeper.
• Making her first-career start in goal, freshman Bridget Carr totaled six saves.
• BU was one of two teams to earn a point on the road in the opening week of Patriot League action. Navy's 3-0 triumph over Lehigh, BU's opponent on Saturday (Sept. 28), was the other result.
• Porta's goal marked the second instance that BU scored first in a match this year, with the other taking place against Northeastern on Aug. 18.
• BU has now scored four goals in the first half this year.
• In the Terriers' last 15 games, dating back to 2023, Porta and classmate Giulianna Gianino have both scored six goals, the most by a Terrier in that span.

• The Raiders are 2-7-1 on the year, opening Patriot League play with a 3-0 road loss at Bucknell.
• Colgate has lost five of its last six matches.
• Ari Bezanson paces eight different goal scorers with five on the season. Alli Popham has started all 10 games for the Raiders to the tune of a 1.62 goals-against average and .772 save percentage.
• Colgate was projected to finish seventh in the Patriot League preseason poll.
• Last season, the Raiders went 5-13-2, tallying a 3-5-1 league record to earn the sixth seed in the Patriot League Tournament and reach the semifinals. 

SERIES HISTORY

• Wednesday marks the 16th all-time meeting between BU and Colgate in a series that began in 1998.
• The Terriers spot a 10-4-1 edge in the rivalry.
• The Raiders have won three of the last four matches, however.
• BU is 4-1 on the road against Colgate, with the last win occurring on Oct. 27, 2018.
• In last season's matchup on Sept. 20, 2023, goals from Mackenzie Stickelman and Morgan Fagan in the final four minutes backed Celia Braun's four-save shutout in a 2-0 Terrier triumph.
