PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University women's golf team sits in sixth place following the first 36 holes of the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
The Terriers will enter Sunday's round just six strokes out of second place in the 12-team tournament. Host Princeton is atop the standings at plus-7 and Yale is second at plus-30. BU posted a 304-300 on the opening day and is sitting at plus-36.
Senior
Christy Chen is in third place in the 75-golfer field after shooting a 72 and an even-par 71 on Saturday. She was 4-under through the first 12 holes of the second round and will enter Sunday three strokes off the lead.
Junior
Annika Manjunath (74-83), sophomore
Amy Han (81-76) and senior
Meiqi Gao (78-79) all posted a 15-over 157 on Saturday and are tied for 37th.
Senior
Victoria Takai (80-88--168) is a stroke behind that trio at plus-16 and sophomore
Madison Takai (84-75--169) is tied for 46th after rebounding with the team's second-best score in round two.
Sunday's third and final round will start at 9 a.m.
