BOSTON – In its first Patriot League rematch of the 2024-25 campaign, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes Army West Point to Case Gym on Saturday (Jan. 18). Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.
 
BU (7-9, 1-4 PL) returns to Terrier Town for a two-game homestand. In the second game against Patriot League teams last season, the Terriers went 6-3.
 
Army West Point (12-3, 4-1 PL) seeks to boost its road winning streak to three straight games. In conference away contests, the Black Knights are averaging 72 points per game.
 
Saturday marks Alumni Day and BU's Girl Dad Game for BU. Women's basketball graduates ranging from the 1980s to 2020s will return to Commonwealth Ave. for an in-game recognition. Girl Dad stickers will be available at the marketing table in the Case Gym entrance.
 
The broadcast on Saturday airs on ESPN+, with Brian Maurer (COM'07), Mason Jablonsky and Jack Hughes on the call. GoTerriers.com will supply live statistics and an audio-only broadcast, while the Patriot League supplies an international stream.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS

• The Terriers sustained an 80-54 road loss to Lehigh on Jan. 15.
• BU shot 70 percent from the field in the second quarter to lead 33-30 at halftime, but was outscored 50-21 in the second half.
• Freshman Allison Schwertner led the Terriers with 14 points on 7-of-11 baskets.
• Junior Anete Adler and sophomore Inés Monteagudo Pardo each scored 10 points.
• Adler is second on the team in scoring during conference action.
• Monteagudo is shooting 50 percent from the field during league play and has scored 10 points in consecutive games for the first time in her career.
• Since the start of the conference slate, sophomore Aoibhe Gormley Gormley is first in assist/turnover ratio (4.3), fourth in steals per game (2.4), sixth in assists per game (3.4) and 12th in rebounds per game (5.4).
• Senior Alex Giannaros needs three points to become the 14th Terrier in program history to reach 1,200 career points, and seven points to tie Katie Meinhardt '07 for 13th place on the all-time scoring list. 

SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT

• Since the first matchup against BU, the Black Knights have won two of their last three games, posting victories over Lafayette and Loyola Maryland.
• Overall, Army West Point has won five of its last six contests.
• The Black Knights are 6-1 on the road in 2024-25, with the only setback taking place at Howard back on Dec. 13, 2024.
• Three Black Knights are scoring in double figures during Patriot League play, led by 13 points per game from Trinity Hardy.
• In that span, Army leads the conference with 17.6 assists per game and is second in steals per game (7.8), field goal percentage (.446), three-point percentage (.394) and assist/turnover ratio (1.17).

SERIES HISTORY

• Saturday marks the 33rd all-time meeting between BU and Army West Point in a series that began in 1980.
• The Terriers remain ahead in the matchup, 20-12.
• At home, BU is 12-5, having won 10 games in a row.
• The Black Knights seek their first regular season sweep of BU since the 2015-16 campaign.
• In the first meeting this year back on Jan. 5, Army captured a 69-59 win. The Black Knights led by as many as 29 points late in the third quarter, withstanding a 28-9 Terrier run to end the game.
