BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Graduate student Foster Malleck was named Patriot League Runner of the Week following his record-breaking performance at the Battle in Beantown, the league announced Tuesday.

Malleck's 3000m time of 9:50.96 broke a program record and leads the Patriot League this season. That mark is also the 12th-best in the country up to this point and is the 18th-fastest time in Canadian history. Malleck now owns the indoor mile and the indoor 3000m record at BU.

This is his second time winning a runner of the week award during the indoor season. He and the Terriers will return to action for the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invite on Friday, Jan. 24 at the TRACK at New Balance.
