BOSTON – Six different goal scorers propelled the Boston University women's soccer program to its fifth consecutive victory in a 6-0 rout over American on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BU struck first 6:15 into the match. Gianino inserted a corner kick that found Tyburczy's noggin as it floated over Roemer.
- Sophomore Bridget Carr made the lone save for the Terriers in the 15th minute, snagging Phoebe Merrigan's long direct kick after a BU foul near midfield.
- Gianino was fouled inside the box in the 18th minute to draw a penalty kick. She beat Roemer to the upper-right pocket of the net.
- In the 26th minute, Maguire collected a cross and flicked a 5-yard shot on net, but Roemer batted the ball away. Tzouganatos found the loose ball and blasted home her first collegiate goal near the penalty dot.
- BU's fourth goal occurred in a similar fashion when senior Mackenzie Stickelman had a shot blocked atop the 18-yard box. An American marker redirected the ball to Osterman in the left slot, where she darted right and fired a right-footed shot past Roemer.
- Just 2:04 out of halftime, Porta dished off to Maguire down the left sideline. The junior's cross found Avellar near the right post for the finish.
- Porta and Maguire linked up on another play five minutes later that saw Maguire cross from the left corner towards Brown down central from 10 yards out. Brown found the back of the net in the lower-left corner.
- American's lone shot in the second half was a long volley from Jayden Fisher that missed wide right in the 65th minute.
