Two School Records Taken Down at Terrier DMR Challenge

February 21, 2025

BOSTON — Sophomore Karsen Vesty, sophomore Shamiso Sikaneta, freshman Thomas Cowan and junior Parker Schneider took down an eight-year-old school record in the distance medley relay at the Terrier DMR Challenge on Friday night as the Terriers wrapped up their indoor regular season at the Track & Tennis Center.

The group hit a time of 9:29.54 in the DMR, finishing seventh overall. That time is almost 12 seconds better than the previous record and ranks eighth in the country entering this weekend.

Graduate student Foster Malleck broke his own school record in the mile, running a time of 3:53.82. That mark bested his own school record of 3:54.20 that he set earlier in the year at the John Thomas Terrier Classic. The time is 15th in the NCAA this season and he is the 23rd fastest collegian ever.
