BOSTON — The Boston University track & field program is set to compete at the 2025 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by the Naval Academy at the Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Maryland Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2.

Action begins at 11 a.m. both days and streaming will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday live on ESPN+.

The men's team is aiming for a fourth-straight top three finish and its first win in program history, while the women's squad is looking to win its third Patriot League championship and first since 2016.

The men finished third at the Championships last year with 110 points and return 10 All-Patriot League Team members and three individual champions in Malleck (Mile), junior Freddy Collins (3000m) and senior Ryan Rosenberger (Long Jump).

Entering this weekend, the men have broken three school records and added 10 marks to the top 10 all-time list. Graduate student Foster Malleck took down his own mile record multiple times, ending with a 3:53.82 mark and became the all-time leader in the 3000m with a 7:50.96 time. The men's DMR group of Karsen Vesty, Shamiso Sikaneta, Thomas Cowan and Parker Schneider ran a 9:29.54 mark to break an eight-year-old school record at the Terrier DMR Challenge.

The women's team finished second with 148 points a season ago at these championships, 40 points behind Navy. Five All-Patriot League Team members return and three individual champions, Sjöberg (Mile, 3000m, 5000m), junior Peace Omonzane (Long Jump, Triple Jump) and junior Ellie Roan (Weight Throw).

This has been an impressive year for the women's squad, which has set four school records over the past three months. Junior Vera Sjöberg now owns the mile (4:28.12) and 3000m (8:57.91) records, graduate student Alli Lofquist became the school's top pole vaulter with a 3.92m mark, breaking a 24-year-old record and Ellie Roan became the first woman to eclipse 20m in the weight throw as a Terrier, breaking her own school record with a 20.15m mark. Along with the records, the Terrier women have set 13 top 10 program indoor marks this season.
