BOSTON, Mass. — Junior Vera Sjöberg broke her own record in the mile as the Boston University track & field team wrapped up the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational at the Track & Tennis Center Saturday.

Top 10 Terriers

• Sjöberg's time of 4:32.44 broke her previous school record of 4:33.92 – a mark she set on Jan. 18, 2025 at the Battle in Beantown.
• Sophomore Karsen Vesty moved up on the top 10 list in both the 800m and 1000m, taking fourth on the 800m list with a 1:48.76 time and ninth on the 1000m list with a 2:24.66 time.
• In the 200m dash, junior Michael Onilogbo clocked a time of 21.10 to finish second and move into second all-time at BU.
• Freshman Leonni Griffin rocketed to the third spot all-time at BU with an 800m time of 2:08.69.
• In the 60m hurdles finals, freshman Iman Roka crossed the line at 8.59 seconds, good for fifth all-time at BU.
• Sophomore Ola Szulska made her mark on the top 10 list, entering the 5000m list at number seven with a 16:26.76 time in the event. She finished third.
• Sophomore Micah Perry flashed a time of 8.26 seconds, taking second in the 60m hurdles and moving into fourth all-time at BU.

Top Performers

• Senior Asia Hamilton won the long jump with a 5.64m jump.
• In the shot put, junior Madison Sorrell heaved her implement 13.22 meters, taking second.
• Senior Steven Franco finished fourth in the long jump with a 6.95m mark.
• Sophomore Shamiso Sikaneta put up a time of 2:25.13 in the 1000m, finishing second behind Vesty.

Back on Track

• Professional runner Shelby Houlihan made her return to the track and made her impression on the TTC, running a 4:20.30 mile to break the facility record.
