BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball program wraps up the 2024-25 regular season with a trip to Navy on Wednesday, March 5. Opening tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
BU (11-17, 5-12 PL) currently sits in a tie for seventh place with Lafayette in the Patriot League standings entering the final day of conference play. The Terriers have already secured a home game for the first round of the Patriot League Tournament on Saturday, March 8.
Navy (18-10, 10-7 PL) has clinched a first round bye for the Patriot League Tournament. Entering Wednesday tied with Bucknell for fifth place in the standings, the Mids can finish anywhere between fourth and sixth based on the league's results.
Wednesday's game airs on ESPN+. Navy Athletics will provide live statistics and an audio-only broadcast while the Patriot League will supply an international stream.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers sustained a 63-58 road loss to Lafayette on March 1 in Easton, Pa.
- BU led by three in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter, but went scoreless for nearly four minutes as the Leopards took the lead for good on an extended 12-2 run.
- Freshman Allison Schwertner led four Terriers in double figures with 15 points, while junior Anete Adler notched a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double.
- Senior Alex Giannaros scored 12 points while sophomore Sisi Bentley recorded 11 points and eight boards.

- Approaching her final regular season game in her career, Giannaros is projected to start in her 100th game as a Terrier. She needs three points to move into sixth place on BU's all-time scoring list, currently occupied by BU Athletic Hall of Famer Andrea Ashuck '89.
SCOUTING NAVY
- The Mids have won three games in a row, most recently defeating Loyola Maryland 66-53 on March 1.
- Prior to that winning streak, Navy lost six of its previous seven games.
- Navy's 18 wins this year are the most since the 2017-18 campaign and are more than its previous two seasons combined.
- Zanai Barnett-Gay paces the Mids while ranking second in the Patriot League with 19.1 points per game.
- During league play, four-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week Julianna Almeida is scoring 11.4 points per contest on 42.8 percent shooting.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 23rd all-time meeting between BU and Navy in a series that began in 2011.
