As a senior, Alford garnered All-ECAC First Team honors and College Madness All-Mid Major Third Team recognition as the Terriers finished the season 24-6, reaching the second round of the WNIT in its second-consecutive appearance in the postseason tournament. She also helped BU capture the America East regular season championship in 2012.

Following her graduation with a degree in criminal justice in 2013, Alford played seven years professionally in Belarus and Ireland, earning three league championships and two Finals MVP awards.

Alford recently completed her first season as the Director of Player Development at UMass under head coach Mike Leflar, who served as an assistant and associate head coach at BU from 2004-14, encompassing Alford's Terrier tenure.
