BOSTON - The Boston University women's lightweight rowing program dominated in its three races against Bates on the Charles River on Sunday morning. The weather saw on and off rain with a slight wind throughout the day.
The Varsity 8+, coxed by seniorÂ
Mayberry Mark and stroked by sophomore
Mia Seibert, raced to a first-place finish with a time of 6:54.4, nearly 20 seconds ahead of Bates.
The Second Varsity 8+ also finished first in its race with a time of 7:15.9. The boat was coxed by seniorÂ
Heather Shinn and stroked by freshmanÂ
Rosa Beckert.
In the final race of the day, BU's Varsity 4+ also took first. The boat, coxed by sophomoreÂ
Lylah Nag and stroked by sophomoreÂ
Jasmine Wu, registered a time of 8:25.3.
The Terriers will compete again on Saturday and Sunday (April 12-13) for the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, N.J.
