TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers enter Monday after splitting a home-and-home series with UMass over the weekend.
- BU won Friday's contest, 1-0, and dropped Saturday's game, 2-0.
- Sophomore netminder Mikhail Yegorov stopped 34-of-35 shots faced all weekend, including an 18-save shutout on Friday night, the second of his career.
- Junior Jack Harvey scored the lone goal of the weekend for BU, burying a rebound off a shot from classmate Aiden Celebrini in the second period of Friday night's contest.
- Sophomore Sacha Boisvert was credited with the other assist.
- BU has outshot its opponents in seven of the last eight games after only accomoplishing that feat twice in its first 12 games.
- The results marked the first time since Feb. 23-24, 2024 that the Terriers gave up two goals or fewer in a weekend series.
- The Terriers are third in the nation and first in Hockey East with six shorthanded goals this season.
- Hutson leads all Hockey East defensemen with 20 points (7g, 13a), including three game-winning goals, entering this weekend.
HISTORY WITH HARVARD
- BU and Harvard are the closest Division I hockey schools - from rink to rink - in the country, just 1.9 miles apart.
- BU-Northeastern was second at 2.1 miles until the doors closed on Matthews Arena in December.
- Now Brown-Providence is second at 2.6.
- The Terriers and Crimson have played 161 times since the 1922-23 season and the Terriers hold an 84-70-7 (.543) advantage.
- BU has won eight of the past 11 meetings (8-2-1) after dropping five straight to the Crimson.
- That includes last year's 7-1 win over the Crimson in the Beanpot semifinal at TD Garden on Feb. 3, 2025.
- The teams first met on Dec. 13, 1922, at Boston Arena, with Harvard winning, 2-0.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
- Harvard fell to 7-6-1 after a 5-4 loss to No. 11 Dartmouth on Friday night.
- Harvard scored two shorthanded goals in the loss.
- The Crimson have lost three straight to open up the new year—all on the road—and have given up 17 goals in those three contests.
- Sophomore Mick Thompson led the Crimson in points (32) a season ago and currently paces them with 17 points (5g, 12a) through 14 games this season.
- He has five points in his last four games.
- Other notables for the Crimson include seniors Philip Tresca and Casey Severo, who both have seven goals apiece to lead the team.
- Sophomore Ben Charette has been the starting netminder all season and sports a 3.24 GAA and an .894 save percentage.
- Harvard head coach Ted Donato—in his 21st season—became the all-time winningest coach in Harvard history with 325 wins on Dec. 6.
