AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07

Indoor: During the season opener, was part of the fourth-place 4x400-meter relay team with a time of 4:07.32... Placed tenth in the pole vault with a height of 2.90 meters during the Harvard Invitational... During the America East Indoor Championships, placed ninth in the pole vault with a height of 3.15.

BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Attended Seattle Academy in Seattle, Wash... Began participating in the pole vault at the end of sophomore year and by junior year vaulted 10 feet... At the state meet her senior year, recorded a height of 3.2 meters tying the state meet record for her division... Also ran sprints, winning the 4x100 her freshman and junior years at the state meet... Named a state All-Star in track and field senior year... Also competed in gymnastics throughout high school, captaining her squad senior year.

Daughter of Paul and Yaffa Maritz... Mother is originally from Israel and went to college at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, her father is originally from Zimbabwe and went to school at St. Andrews University in South Africa... Her mother is a retired psychologist and now works with early childhood and Middle East peace, and her father is retired from Microsoft and now starting his own computer company... Enrolled in the University[apos]s College of Arts and Sciences... Born Aug. 24, 1988.
