Boston University Strength & Conditioning accepts applications for its internship program throughout the year.

Job Description
Interns will gain valuable experience in the field while being exposed to, and learning about, a range of training methodologies based on current research and effective methods of practical application. As a member of the strength & conditioning department, interns should be committed to the field of strength & conditioning while conducting themselves professionally and in a positive manner among the student-athletes. Interns will assist with facility maintenance and other assigned tasks, and are highly encouraged to partake in a daily strength & conditioning routine.

Qualifications
Candidates should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related program and be committed to the field of strength & conditioning. Candidates must have certification or be working towards certification for the SCCC by the CSCCa or CSCS by the NSCA. AED/CPR and first aid certifications are required.

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. No monetary compensation, housing, or meals will be available. Course credit is available if offered by the applicant’s host institution. Additional opportunities for compensation are potentially available through the Department of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.

Internship Schedule
Internships are scheduled according to the academic semesters and summer sessions. Additionally, interns must be available to work a non-traditional work schedule.

Fall Semester: September to December
Spring Semester: January to April/May.
Summer Session: May to August
