TERRIERS IN THE NATIONAL POLLS: The Terriers were ranked third in all the major polls last week, their highest ranking of the season. While this week's polls were not released as of the time these notes were prepared, the Terriers could find themselves ranked second this week. The reason is that New Hampshire, which was ranked second last week, lost both their games over the weekend. On Friday night, the Wildcats bowed to Northeastern, 6-2, while they lost to Providence, 4-3, on Saturday night. Last week, in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine poll, the Terriers finished with 194 points, just 15 points shy of New Hampshire. The U.S. College Hockey Online poll ad the Terriers with 316 points, 26 points behind UNH.Finally, the WMPL poll had B.U. with 121 points, just 6 shy of UNH.In all three polls, Wisconsin was number one.
