BOSTON - For the second consecutive week, freshman guard Corinne Jean (Victoriaville, QUE) was named the America East Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, Nov. 29. Jean again shares the award with Northeastern's Shaleyse Smallwood.
Jean averaged 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Terriers two wins last week.
In B.U.'s 83-66 win at Long Island on Nov. 23, Jean scored a team-high 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. She also contributed five rebounds, four assists, and one steal against the Blackbirds.
As the Terriers (2-1, 0-0) picked up a 66-44 win over Wagner on Nov. 27, Jean chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, and one blocked shot.
On the season, Jean leads the Terriers in scoring with 15.5 points per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three-point range. The 6-1 guard has scored in double-figures in each of the first three games this season, leading the team in scoring in two of the three games.
B.U. aims for its third-straight win when it travels to Philadelphia for a game at La Salle University on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1:00 p.m. The game pits first-year head coach Kelly Greenberg (La Salle '89) against her alma mater.
