BU VS. THE SOUTHERN CONFERENCE: BU has a short history with the Southern Conference, owning a 1-1 all-time record against the league. The Terriers faced off with Georgia Southern on Nov. 18, 2001 in a 75-55 win, and lost to Davidson, 61-57, on Dec. 5, 1999.

BU VS. THE MEAC: BU is 7-1 all-time against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference schools. Its most recent meeting with a MEAC foe was on Dec. 30 in a 70-65 win over Florida A&M during head coach Kelly Greenberg's first season at the helm.

This year, the Terriers could face off with one more competitor from the conference as Morgan State will be participating in the VCU tourney along with BU, host VCU and Georgia Southern from Dec. 27-28.

NEXT TIME OUT: Following this weekend's tourney, BU will return home to host Atlantic 10 opponent Massachusetts on Nov. 28 at 7:00 p.m. for its final home game of 2007.

REACHING NEW HEIGHTS: In each of BU's first four games this season, a different Terrier has recorded a career high. Kasey Devine accomplished the feat in the season opener at Siena (18 points) and Christine Kinneary followed suit against Rhode Island (17 points). Most recently, Cheri Raffo posted 23 versus No. 16 Ohio State, and Aly Hinton tallied 35 versus Northeastern.

HINTON SOARS VERSUS NORTHEASTERN: Aly Hinton scored an impressive 35 points in 27 minutes versus NU on Nov. 19 at Case Gym. She is the first Terrier since Katie Meinhardt on March 11, 2005 to reach 30 or more points in a single game.

KINNEARY TIES SINGLE-GAME RECORD FOR ASSISTS: On Nov. 19, Christine Kinneary tied a single-game school record for assists (14) with Andrea Higgins, who set the mark on Feb. 19, 1993. Kinneary is the first Terrier to record over 10 assists since Rachel Vanderwal dished out 10 versus Binghamton on Jan. 8, 2005.

Kinneary tallied a team-high 92 assists in 30 games last season - good for seventh in the conference. She has picked up where she left off, opening the season with a team-high five hand outs at Siena. She has already dished 32 assists in two games - a team and conference high.

ONE MORE MINUTE: Cheri Raffo is just one minute shy of breaking into the top ten for minutes played in a career, having seen action in 2,916 over four seasons. In 2005-06, the Morristown, N.J., native played in 1,018 minutes to land in fourth for minutes played in a season.

IT'S A LONG DECEMBER: Beginning with its Dec. 1 contest at St. John's, Boston University will spend the entire month of December on the road. The game against the Red Storm will kick off a six-game road stretch that culminates with a Dec. 30 contest at Kansas. BU will also take part in the Virginia Commonwealth University tournament in Richmond, Va., from Dec. 27-28, along with host VCU, Morgan State and Georgia Southern.

In addition to those games, BU will face Brown on Dec. 5 and Harvard on Dec. 11.

COUNTDOWN TO 1,000: Cheri Raffo is currently 162 points away from reach the 1,000-point plateau. If she keeps her scoring average at 11.0 ppg, she could reach the milestone at the beginning of the conference season.

OFFENSIVE LEADERS ABOUND: The Terriers have been led by a different scorer in each of the last six games dating back to last season.

Amarachi Umez-Eronini led with a career-high 22 points versus Binghamton on Feb. 28, 2007, and Katie Meinhardt was the leading scorer for BU against Binghamton in the AE tourney with 25 points.

This season, Kasey Devine and Jesyka Burks-Wiley tipped off the season with 18 points apiece at Siena, and Christine Kinneary turned in a career night with 17 points versus Rhode Island.
