WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Freshmen Chris Connolly and Kieran Millan of the Boston University men's ice hockey team were both honored by Hockey East on Monday, as Connolly was tabbed the league's Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week and Millan was named the Pure Hockey Co-Defensive Player of the Week. The two were instrumental in the Terriers' three-point weekend against archrival Boston College.

In Saturday's 3-1 road victory over the then-No. 2/3 Eagles, Connolly scored the eventual game-winner on a second-period penalty shot after assiting on the game's first goal. The Duluth, Minn., native became the first Terrier in over six years to convert a penalty shot and is now tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 12 points on four goals and eight assists.

Millan (Edmonton, Alta.), who shared his honor with UNH netminder Brian Foster, allowed one goal in each game against BC, stopping 39 of the 41 shots he faced on the weekend. He kept the Eagles scoreless for a stretch of just under 100 minutes spanning the two games. He improved to 7-1-1 on the year and lowered his goals against average to 1.77, which ranks second in the league.
