BOSTON - Seniors Aly Hinton and Maggie McKemie along with junior Krystyn McIntyre have been named captains for the 2009-10 Boston University women's basketball team, head coach Kelly Greenberg announced on Tuesday.

The trio will lead a freshman-laden squad of six rookies and nine underclassmen. Hinton (Richboro, Pa.) and McKemie (Louisville, Ky.) will be the lone seniors on the squad, while McIntyre (Waverly, Pa.) is entering her junior year.

"We are very excited to announce that Aly, Maggie and Krystyn will be our captains for this year's squad," said Greenberg. "These three women offer very different personalities and very different leadership styles, on and off the court. We have a young team this year so their leadership will be a huge key to our success."

In 2008-09, the Terriers reached new heights as they broke a team record for wins in a season (25) and boasted an impressive 19-game winning streak, while also running the America East regular season table at 16-0. BU was also one of just four teams in the nation that went unbeaten in its respective conference last year.
