BU Today: Badji's unconventional road to the game
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After tallying his league-best third game winning goal of the season at Albany, Boston University men's soccer forward Dominique Badji has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
With the score tied 1-1 against the Great Danes, the Alexandria, Va. native scored on a cross from senior Ben Berube to move the Terriers into a first-place tie with UMBC in conference play at 4-1-0.
He currently leads BU in points with 10 and is tied with senior Stephen Knox in goals with four.
The rookie honor marks BU's third in the last four weeks after goalkeeper Nick Thomson won the previous two.
The Terriers will conclude the regular season this week by first hosting New Hampshire on Wednesday (Oct. 26) and then traveling to Binghamton on Saturday (Oct. 29). Both game times set for 7 p.m.
